Oliver is just brilliant with frizzy hair. I have disliked my hair intensely for years and finally decided to straighten it which brought me into contact with Oliver. He has transformed my life. Sounds dramatic, but before my hair was straightened I spent hours styling it. I even resorted to ironing my hair before straighteners became common (not recommended) and wore a lot of scarves and hats to combat rain or humidity. My hair literally ruled my life.

Oliver has been treating my hair for over 15 years now – first using Yuko and more recently Brazilian blow drying it. He manages home visits professionally, turns up on time and is fun company while the process takes place. On the rare occasions when I’ve been unable to get an appointment with him, I have tried two different reputable salons. One left me with burns on my scalp and the other used solution that left my hair bright yellow. I now book a quarterly treatment with Oliver, which he does for me at home.

I am hoping that one day I will grow to love my hair, but in the meantime and I wouldn’t use anyone else to straighten it.

I discovered Oli almost 20 years ago when he was working in Harrods and he has been straightening my hair on a regular basis ever since.

He is an expert in both the Yuko method and the Brazilian method and I have experienced both over the years although my current favourite is Brazilian as it is kinder to my hair but is just as effective. The reason for this is that it works by coating the hair with keratin instead of restructuring the hair shaft which involves using chemicals. This is ideal for me because as I get older and need to chemically colour my hair it means that I can still straighten my hair without submitting it to further chemicals which could be damaging. Another benefit is that the Brazilian method can be reapplied more frequently than Yuko.

Basically, Oli’s skills have been a game changer for me because my hair is now so manageable – it is easier and quicker to dry, it stays looking good and straight in between washes and my life is less stressful because it is not based on what the weather is doing.

So if your hair is curly, wavy or frizzy and you want straighter smoother and shinier hair, I 100% recommend Oli, you can’t go wrong - he really is the best 😊
