What is Nanoplastia?
Nanoplastia is a semi permanent hair straightening treatment.
Which hair type does Nanoplastia suit?
It's suitable for all hair types except for afro hair type 4b and 4c.
Can I have Nanoplastia if my hair is damaged?
This will depend on the level of damage of your hair, you may need a treatment to improve the condition of your hair before Nanoplastia.
Will Nanoplastia make my hair fall?
With any type of straightening treatment such as Brazilian, Keratin and permanent Japanese hair straightening overtime it could lead to small amount of hair fall.
Can I have Nanoplastia with hair extensions?
No, hair extensions have to be removed before the treatment.
Will my hair be very straight?
Initially yes, just like the permanent hair straightening but as the months progress it may be less straight depending on your hair type and home care maintenance.
Can I get Nanoplastia on coloured hair?
Yes, but if you need to get the colour done you'll have to wait 7 days after the treatment to re-colour your hair.
Can I have this treatment if my hair is relaxed or chemically straightened?
Yes, as long as your hair has not been damaged by a chemical relaxer or straightener.
Can I go swimming after having Nanoplastia?
Yes, you can swim after the treatment. However, I recommend using a protective hair mask, like Philip Kingsley Swimcap, to protect your hair from salt water, chlorine, and the sun.
Can I tie my hair up post-treatment?
Yes, but tying your hair up regularly may cause a slight kink.
Can I use any shampoo and conditioner post-treatment?
No, I recommend using sulfate-free shampoo at all times to prolong the treatment.
Does Nanoplastia contain Formaldehyde?
No, Nanoplastia is a plant-based product.
How long does the process take?
The treatment normally takes 2 to 3 hours, depending on the length and thickness of your hair.
Can I have Nanoplastia if I'm pregnant?
Yes, it is completely safe to use during pregnancy.
How old do I need to be to have Nanoplastia?
I can only perform the treatment if you are 15 years old or above.
Can I have Nanoplastia done during a home visit?
Yes, but this treatment does require a final rinse during the process. For optimal results, I recommend having it done in a salon environment.
